Crystal Clear From Here
The Internet!!
So I was just talking to Bobbie on the phone about the Phenomenom song and debating were it came from. She said it came from the movie Phenomenom and I said it was from the Muppets. Tim decided to Google it and found that it has a very interesting origin, if you want to read about the song go to here. Interestingly the lyrics are originally "Mahna Mahna". Mahna Mahna made his and its debut on The Ed Sullivan Show (aired on 30th of November, 1969) as part of a Muppets special. When Kermit the Frog performed it with Sandra Bullock in 1996, he did sing "Phenomenom". We even found a really good clip of the skit from The Muppet's Show from 1976 of Mahna Mahna and the Snowths performing the song Mahna Mahna. I think it funny that the muppet adopted the name of the song as his own. If you want to check out the clip go here!Another fun game on the internet is Guess-the-Google. It you haven't already heard of the game you should take a look at it. It's really simple but pretty fun. Have fun!
Little Fallses
So last weekend I went down to Little Falls, MN with my Aunt Liz and Uncle Tom to visit my other Aunt & Uncle as well as my cousin Jessie. My Grandpa and Grandma were also there helping my Uncle put in new windows. How much sweeter could it get? It was really just one big family gathering, at least one member from each family. O what fun we did have!
Numero uno on my on my list of fun and/or funny things that happened was that Tom and Liz let me drive 90 miles of the way down there. Now for those of you that have your license this really doesn't seem real exciting, but it really was for me. This was my first real driving experience. That's right going sixty MPH on a high-way for a hour and a half. Surprisingly I really didn't have any problems, just that driving in Brainard scared me a bit. The parking at Mickey Dees was a little fast and crooked. But I didn't hit anyhthing or damage the car so I am in the opinion that I did well.
Numero Dos would be playing Imagine If... on Saterday night with Liz, Aunt Vicki, Jessie and Grandma Ginny. That was sweet playing with Grandma. She was really cool, her and I were head to head in last place. You should all get your hands on that game, it's post modern so no one really loses.
Numero tres would be going out to lunch at Perkins after church on Sunday with G&G Eastvold, Uncle Dan, Aunt Vicki and Jessie. Tom and Liz would have come but the reason they came down was for a get together of the team they were a part of for a missions trip. So they couldn't be there which was sad. I still thought it alot of fun to listen to the adults talk and reminice.
Life would be a dinga dairy, if I only had a brain!!
Your Mom Goes to College
So yesterday after church we went out to eat at the Food Court with my brother John and his wife Nora. John goes to LSC and I've been talking about going there for a long time. We discussed how I want to go to Lake Superior College for Post-secondary and how I really need to get on the ball. I've really been ignoring what I have to do right now to get into LSC, thinking that I have plenty of time before the Fall Semester. Well John got on me at lunch but not in a mean way. So it seems that was what it took to get me on the ball, so to speak. That night when I got home I got on the net to see what I needed to do. Well there is more to do and I'm still slightly nervous about the entrance exam, but thanks John for getting me going.
John is a Mover, when he sees some thing that needs doing, he does it. At least that was the impression I got on Sunday. We were also talking about me volunteering at Lake Beauty Bible Camp this coming summer. John explained that I would have to go to Surf Camp first before volunteering. Surf Camp is a camp all about learning to be a servant by doing behind the scenes stuff and helping the counselors. By the way he spoke about the camp it sounds like a fun time and an experience I would like to have. Even after this camp I would hopefully volunteer a week or two later in the summer. So after this whole conversation when we (Mom, Nora and I) had kinda moved on, John pulled out his cell phone and called up Lelend at LBBC and asked him to send me a Surf Camp application. Gave him my address and everything, I was impressed and spurred on all in the same moment.
After being homeschooled, going to the same church, and knowing all the same people for so many years, it gets a little repetitious. Not that I don't love all these people and things to death, because I do, its just that I feel like I need more experiences in high school. It might be even cooler if I could convince one of my friends to do this with me...Hint hint. Sadly Tim doesn't sound that interested, not that I thought he would be.
Another sort of cool thing about going to LBBC is simply my last name. There has been an Eastvold as a camper or a worker at Lake Beauty every summer for the last sixteen years. My brother, his wife and five of my cousins have worked there, not to mention all of the other family that has gone to Lake Beauty Bible Camp for family camp. I think that is so cool, kind of like a family legacy.
Here you have my mass amusement!!
YOUR MOM GOES TO COLLEGE!
HAWT!!
I was just looking at A's new post on Huzzah and Welcome and I guess there was a conversation between my brother, BigZ and A about A's future girl. Something about BigZ continually saying she gonna be hot. So that translated into my brother's comment about her being HAWT!! The process by which hot turned into HAWT was very interesting. It involved repeated yelling of hot across our house. So A just thought you might want to know that.
Earlier today my Dad asked me to find him a gas lantern or a candle lantern that he could take with to the Sugar Bush (place where we tap maple trees for maple syrup). I am called the Finder in our family, since I seem to be good at finding stuff and my brother and Dad can't find stuff....at all. He said they were in the basement somewhere so I went downstairs to find one. At the end of this little exertion to the basement I have decided that my Dad just gives off the illusion that all his camping stuff is organized, it's really not.
So that was my mass thoughts today. Man, being homeschooled sure can be boring at times....oh well.

Another So Soon
Yesterday my brother randomly set up another Blog for our friends and us. It is call Huzzah and welcome at of course, non other than huzzahandwelcome.blogspot.com . I think it is mainly for some good fellowship on the net, but we will probably have some fun with it too. So far it's just BigZ, my brother and I. We've been yelling at "A" to join us, so he probably will....... eventually.
I tell ya' "A" is the busiest sixteen year old I have ever met. And he doesn't even go to school ... but yeah whatever. As long as he sleeps in once in a while and I get to talk to him once a month, then I'm fine with it, I guess. By the way "A" is also called Amos if you didn't catch that. Tehehe....I amuse myself.
An Interesting Start
This all came to be in a strange way. Yesterday my brother was reading BigZ's blog and he said I should comment. He thought for a minute and then looked at me and sarcastically said "O wait you can't cause you don't have a blogger account." So we talked about it for awhile and well.... actually he just started setting it up and I'm just like OK whatever. We had fun looking for a template and he spent the rest of the evening setting that up. I felt kinda bad about that. O well, what can I do about it now.
At this moment I am listening to Seventh Day Slumber. They are a Christian rock band that I just started listening to. I really enjoy SDS. I mean their not the best ever but I really like the lyrics, very uplifting. I first really heard SDS at that concert at the Encounter a couple weeks ago. So I had heard their Caroline song on the radio these past weeks and on Saturday randomly decided to buy their CD. So that day when we were going into town I asked my mother if we could stop by Bible and Book. I feel this was very decisive of me cause I never do that just randomly go out and buy a CD. I'm really not like Amos in this aspect who regularly buys three to four CDs a month. Amos is a very good friend of mine from church who I've known for around four years. He's a big music person and even leads Upper Room (Youth Group) worship sometimes. I really love the guy! He's awesome!
Yeah so anyways.... I loved Seventh Day Slumber in concert, I definitely think the final test for a band is stage presence. The main singer Josh also had a very moving testimony. It was altogether sweetness. I also love Falling Up at that concert. I should "borrow" that CD from Amos.
Tehehe I think myself funny.
Just one post...
Before I change my template...
